etc.) are combined to form a batch chemistry which best utilizes each specific property. |

| The batch is mixed well to attain uniform consistency. |

| The batch is fed into an electric arc furnace for melting by automatic control
under the most appropriate conditions for each mix. |

| The casting is placed in an annealing bin for gradual cooling, allowing the crystals
to develop to form the optimum structure for the block. |

| Additional inspection is made of the status and location of internal voids to
be removed from the sidewall blocks, and the throat assembly for the DCL blocks of the Scimos
AZS series. |

| Blocks to be used in critical portions are pre-assembled and trued where necessary. |

| Blocks are firmly palletized for shipment. |
